At the northeastern part of Athos lies the skite of Laccou which belongs to St. Paul’s abbey.

It was built in the 18th century, two hundred meters above sea level. The Kyriakon was built in 1900.

Today it has about twenty huts where the Rumanian monks live an ascetic life.
